Guru Purnima – July 2023

Guru Purnima is a religious Hindu festival dedicated to offering respect to all spiritual and academic gurus. On this auspicious occasion, Sad Daan Foundation organised a two-day ‘Happiness Drive’ where volunteers came forward to spread love in some capacity till the last strings of our society. The drive included –

  • 500+ Food Packets Distribution in Delhi NCR (Gurgaon and Noida)
  • 400+ glasses of Chabeel in Gurgaon
  • Annadaan (1400+ Packs) at Apna Ghar Old Age Home, Shukartaal, Muzaffarnagar, UP
  • Animal Feeding (Birds, Dogs and Cows) at Welfare For Animals In Goa: WAG

Ek Chaav Pyar KI – June 2023

With the vision of ‘Doing A Good Deed’ for society, Sai Daan Foundation organized an Umbrella distribution drive “एकछाँवप्यार” (Ek Chaav Pyar Ki) for street vendors/ hawkers, who are striving day and night without caring about the heat and rain. The energy-sapping heat conditions have been making things worse for those who spend long hours on the streets, particularly the street vendors and pushcart vendors, to eke their livelihood.

With the support of generous volunteers, SDF distributed umbrellas to 150 street vendors.

Nikshay – Nutritional support for TB Patients – April 2023

NI – KSHAY – (NI = End; KSHAY = TB)

Sai Daan Foundation initiated a project to provide a nutritious diet to patients suffering from tuberculosis for their speedy recovery during treatment. SDF adopted 80 tuberculosis patients (EWS) of the Government TB Hospital, Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh.

Tuberculosis can be categorized as an infectious disease that can turn out to be very dangerous if not checked or taken care of properly in time. This disease is generally developed & observed in people who are undernourished & do not have a balanced diet. As recommended by doctors, there are certain food groups whose consumption can be very beneficial for a person suffering from Tuberculosis. Tuberculosis is known to have a detrimental effect on the life of the infected person. A healthy & balanced diet enhances & ensures quick recovery for the patient & improves the quality of life.
